This will be my last post for this subject, as I believe I am now finishing the last assessment (although I will need to check). I have actually enjoyed this subject, the one I was least looking forward to. Legal stuff can be so dry. I found the intricacies and complexities interesting however and it was fun relating questions to a reading text. It was good in assessment 6, to return to copyright again, as it was like a review of previous learning. copyright is especially relevant to my work. We have been discussing whether to change the notice in Fine Print regarding the  copyright of articles contained, and I think we will. I would like to add that the copyright belongs to the authors and articles can not be reprinted/reproduced without the author's permission. At the moment no mention is made of the author. As we are an education journal, the fair dealing clause would come into play.

Febuary 8 2012
Back again. I am keen to get this finished believe it or not. Will start with Norma Khouri's book and the issues it raises for the industry. I am finding all this industry information useful and am noticing news items to do with copyright and other regulations more than I used too, probably because I now have some prior knowledge. New medias and smart phone technologies are really testing the industry. I'd say the legal system is a step or two behind technological advancement. It is a case of technology providing the tests and the legal system playing catch up.
